Amazon, Samsung see AI driving sales, chip demand

STORY: Amazon CEO Andy Jassy says artificial intelligence could help cloud computing unit Amazon Web Services achieve $600 billion in annual sales. The outlook came in an internal all-hands meeting on Tuesday, with his comments reviewed by Reuters. Jassy said with what's happening in AI, AWS has a chance to "at least double" his previous $300 billion revenue estimate. The cloud provider booked almost $129 billion in sales in 2025, up 19% on the year. Jassy’s projection suggests an average growth rate of nearly 17% every year for the next decade.
